Introducing the Tissot Heritage 1938 Automatic COSC

Tissot is one of the great names in Swiss watchmaking, with a history spanning over 160 years. Founded in 1853 in the town of Le Locle in the Jura region, the company has consistently drawn attention with pioneering technology, such as the first antimagnetic wristwatch in 1930 and the first timepiece with touch technology just before the turn of the new millennium.

Today, Tissot is a global player with sales outlets in 160 countries and over four million exports annually. This is not surprising, as the traditional brand offers an impressive variety of high-quality wristwatches at affordable prices. From elegant dress watches to chronographs born from motorsport and professional dive watches to sophisticated women’s watches and smartwatches, Tissot has remarkable expertise in many areas.

Now, the traditional brand revives a successful timepiece from the past. The Tissot Heritage 1938 Automatic COSC embodies the understated aesthetics of that era and is available in both a three-hand version – Tissot Heritage Gent Auto COSC 1938 – and with a small seconds subdial as Tissot Heritage Small Second Auto COSC 1938. Its case has a diameter of 39mm and is made of 316L stainless steel.

It contains two COSC chronometer-certified automatic movements, the 2895-2 and the ETA 2824-2. You can watch them at work through the sapphire crystal case back. The sandblasted dials are protected by a sapphire crystal in box-style and available with anthracite and salmon colorways.

The new Tissot Heritage Small Seconds Auto COSC 1938 is available with a leather strap or a Milanese bracelet and retails for $1,050. The Heritage Gent Auto COSC 1938 comes on a leather strap and has a price tag of $825.
